Standing up against Federal cancer research Funding cuts
crucial progress is in jeopardy.
Protecting Cancer Research funding saves lives
As the most important person in my life, witnessing my mother’s strength and resilience has been both humbling and heartbreaking. It has also brought into sharp focus a truth I hear echoed in your stories every single day: cancer touches us all.
As your At-Large City Councilor representing all of Boston, I see the faces behind the cancer statistics. I hear the anxieties, the hopes, and the unwavering determination of Boston in the face of this disease.
And I know that our fight against cancer is a shared one.
Boston City Council Presentation
During my formal presentation to the City Council, we highlighted the profound impact of cancer research in Boston.
We were deeply grateful to hear powerful testimonies from Dr. Maeve O’Beirne of the Family Health Center of Worcester and Sam Dillon, President of Boston Firefighters Local 718.
We were also joined by Dan Ranahan, Founder of the Boston Fire Cancer Foundation, and Anthony Landry, Regional Director for CIR-SEIU.
